What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is between 5pm and 8pm, but if you arrive earlier, we’ll happily store your bags while you explore. Check-out is by 9am on weekdays and 10am on weekend.

Absolutely! Every morning, we serve a continental breakfast featuring fresh and local ingredients. There is a selection of homemade cereals, jams, yogurt as well as toasts, croissants, a fresh fruit salad, juice and milk from the local farm. There is an £10 supplement for a cooked breakfast with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Have a look at our current menu!

Yes, just let us know in advance, preferably when booking the room.

We have free street parking right by the B&B, so you can come and go with ease.

Our bedrooms have central heating, and all the beds have electric blankets in the winter. For the summer season, each bedroom has a fan. So, you’ll be comfortable no matter the season.

Definitely, we are within walking distance from restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops, and must-see sights.

We can freshen up your room each day unless you prefer a “do not disturb” day.

We have common areas for relaxing, and while our kitchen is for staff use, we’re happy to help you heat something up or store items in the fridge.

Yes — gift stays make wonderful surprises. We also have seasonal packages for romantic getaways or adventure weekends.

We’re happy to welcome families with children aged 8 and older.

Unfortunately, due to the architecture of this period house, we can’t accommodate guests with mobility issues.

Yes, we have a garage for bicycles so you can rest easy after your ride.

Yes, the garage is big enough for you to clean/repair your bike is need be. We recommend you bring your tools.

Yes, we’re surrounded by scenic routes for every level. We’ll gladly recommend our favourites.

We love furry friends, but we need to consider guests who might have allergies. So, unfortunately, no pets are allowed.

We have maps, walking guides, and local tips waiting for you at reception plus our own recommendations. Christel, the host, is a Mountain Leader and Nordic Walking instructor. She can guide you to discover the Lake District and the Eden Valley.

Yes, we have a drying area, so you won’t be heading out in damp kit the next day.

If you cancel up to 14 days before your arrival, you will have a refund less the £25 non-refundable deposit. There is no refund for a cancellation within 14 days of your arrival or a no-show or an early departure.

Yes, just order the day before, and we’ll prepare a tasty, portable meal for your adventure.

We have two bedrooms sharing a bathroom with local and organic toiletries.

We’re passionate about looking after our beautiful surroundings while supporting local businesses. We use local produce to reduce food miles, offer locally made and refillable toiletries, minimise single-use plastics, use ecofriendly cleaning and hygiene products and recycle wherever possible. Towels and linens are changed only when requested to save water, and our energy comes from a British company with a strong commitment to sustainability (certified B Corporation). We encourage guests to join us in making a positive difference for the environment by using public transport whenever possible.

Yes, our Wi-Fi is complimentary and there is a QR code in each bedroom. No need to enter manually the access code.
